Note that SoundTap cannot record from the microphone unless it is also recording an audio stream.
This will ensure that you record the caller and the callee. In order to record a VOIP conversation you must check the Also record from microphone check box. Because SoundTap can record an audio stream with perfect digital reproduction, your recording will be exactly as you heard it. You can even set the schedule up to record on a regular basis. Just launch the stream that you plan to record, tell the program when to start and stop and off you go. This means that you don’t even have to be at your computer to start and stop your recording. In addition, you can schedule recordings start and stop time. Audio Record Wizard has the additional functionality that you can tell it how long you want the file to record and have the recording stop at that point. Like SoundTap, it can record live streaming audio in both wav and mp3 formats. This is a slightly more sophisticated tool, at least for our purposes.
